Squaresville

In Squaresville at 1800 Vermont Ave in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, the clothes are all for niche shoppers. If old school classic vintage is your look, this is the place to shop! Also, they have gaudy Halloween costumes out for October - think short, ruffled, 80's prom dresses and metallic electric blue Jazzercise leotards. But, most of the items are classic vintage. They had the label classics. I overheard one lady saying to the salesman "I am a label whore. I love this store." I smiled and walked upstairs to find even more shoes and a lot of classic looks for men. The vests (for men) were great. The shoes and boots selection (for women) was fantastic! I was looking for jewelry, but Squaresville had about 8 rings, but lots of necklaces. This store has lots of good guy clothes for the guy who considers himself Classic Vintage and not stuffy. I found a sweet pair of LAMB slip on shoes, but they didn't fit my foot well :(
Overall, Squaresville is a very vintage and stylish store with a sweet staff. It can be a little on the steep side for certain items: Sunnies - $18, Dior Jacket - $200, yet the LAMB shoes were priced at $15! A steal for a LAMB item!! So, keep your eyes peeled and shop all day at Squaresville.
If you love to shop for classic items, you will have a blast!

I recieved my Moleskine City Guide for Los Angeles! I just Vlogged about it on my channel: http://www.youtube.com/guidetogreen
I am so excited! I cannot wait to start filling it out!
My first entry: It's A Wrap!! I really liked the store!

(Sorry the picture is backward I used Photo Booth)
WOO-HOO!

I know I should wait...

I just couldn't wait for my Moleskine to get to me. I had to go out to the city and check out a little shopping. The LAWEEKLY came out with a 'Best of LA, Budget Edition' (Remember, I am new to LA and have no guide-then I read the LAWEEKLY) I went to the shopping & services section for advice. I had one positive and one negative experience out shopping with my new Guru, the 'Best of LA, Budget Edition'!!

First stop: It's a Wrap in West LA.
Loved it! So many great costumes and outfits from productions! It was amazing. If you are looking for a Halloween costume, go to It's a Wrap first. My friend found a LAMB skirt for around $30 and I found a cute LUX skirt. Everything is from a production! My skirt was from TRANSFORMERS! Very cool and the people working there are nice, too.

Second Stop: BCBG Max Azaria Final Cut Outlet Store
As we looked in the LAWEEKLY for a new shop, we read about the BCBG Max Azaria Final Cut Outlet Store - a building painted in black/white vertical stripes on Melrose in West Hollywood. We were instantly in love with the selection of great dresses and business wear. I was in love with a grey blazer, and not really with a brown vest. Some of the clothes fit weird, so make sure to try it on. BUT WATCH OUT FOR THE SALESGIRLS! Oh my they were prissy and snobby and the girl helping me was mad when I told her I did not want the vest. She was all over me the whole time. I could not breathe. I was trying to be polite, but you must let people shop. When I asked to use the restroom, she sent me down the street to a store that did not have a restroom! She knew and sent me there (was it because I said no to the brown vest, but wanted the grey blazer?). Why would you not have a restroom? SERIOUSLY. I had to go and after she sent me to the wrong place, I decided she had lost the sale. When I came back she had put BOTH the brown vest and the grey blazer at the register. WOW. Now, you are taking items I told you I was not interested in and you are putting them at the register for one last push for the sale. We left the store and I told her it was because she was so rude when I asked for a restroom. Shop at a mall because you can't even get to the register with the items you actually want if you are stalked and pressured by the sales girls at BCBG Max Azaria Final Cut Outlet Store.

I will enter these into my Moleskine when it arrives!! WOO HOO!

Inspiration

Hello! I have been inspired by Moleskine's City Guide. I have one for Paris, but I have recently moved to Los Angeles, California and I would like to create a City Guide of my own. I am from San Diego, so the move was not too far. But, I still do not know the streets, food, or shopping and I am going to blog about my experiences in Los Angeles. I have just ordered my Moleskine from ebay for $11.50! I am so excited and will start blogging as soon as I get my Moleskine!!
